Ingredients
Scale
For the Patties
- 1 pound ground beef (80–85% lean)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
For the Sliders
- 6 slider buns
- 3–4 slices cheddar or American cheese (cut to fit)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Sliced pickles
- Ketchup, mustard, or preferred toppings
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature while you prepare the patties.
- Mix the Beef: In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until all the ingredients are just incorporated, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Form Patties: Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions. Shape each portion into small, round patties slightly larger than the slider buns, as they will shrink slightly during cooking.
- Cook Patties: Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 7–9 minutes, flipping the patties halfway through. Ensure they reach an internal temperature of 160°F for full doneness.
- Melt Cheese: In the last 1–2 minutes of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheese so it melts beautifully.
- Prepare Buns: While the patties cook, slice the slider buns and optionally toast them lightly. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
- Assemble Sliders: Layer the cooked patties with melted cheese onto the buns. Add sliced pickles and your preferred condiments like ketchup or mustard. Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
- You can prep the beef patties ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to cook to save time.
- For a different flavor, substitute ground turkey or plant-based ground meat in place of beef.
- Try adding caramelized onions or crispy bacon to elevate the slider’s flavor profile.
- If you want gooey cheese, add the slices earlier, but watch closely to avoid burning.
- Adjust seasoning to taste depending on your preferences and dietary needs.
