Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or springform pan.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add almond and vanilla extracts.
  3. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and almond flour. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk.
  4. Bake: Pour batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle sliced almonds on top, and bake for 35–40 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Cool and Serve: Let the cake cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
