Description

These Banana Pudding Cups are a quick and delightful no-bake dessert perfect for any occasion. Creamy layers of instant vanilla pudding combined with ripe banana slices and crunchy vanilla wafers create a luscious treat that’s easy to assemble and sure to please everyone.

Ingredients

Scale

Pudding Mixture

  • 1 (3.4-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 (8-ounce) container whipped topping, thawed

Assembly

  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1½ cups vanilla wafer cookies, crushed or whole
  • Whipped cream for topping (optional)
  • Mint leaves or extra banana slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pudding: In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until the mixture thickens. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until the pudding is smooth and creamy.
  2. Layer the cups: Start by placing a spoonful of crushed or whole vanilla wafers at the bottom of small serving cups or jars. Add a layer of the pudding mixture, then place a few banana slices on top. Repeat the layering process once more, finishing with a top layer of pudding.
  3. Chill and garnish: Refrigerate the assembled cups for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the wafers to soften slightly. Before serving, optionally top with whipped cream, additional banana slices, or a fresh mint leaf for an attractive presentation.

Notes

  • Best served within 24 hours for optimal texture and freshness.
  • To prevent banana slices from browning, toss them in a little lemon juice before layering.
  • You can use mini vanilla wafers if preferred for easier layering.
  • For larger gatherings, consider assembling the dessert in a trifle dish instead of individual cups.
