For the filling:
- ¾ cup blueberry jam or preserves
- ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
For the cheesecake layer:
- 6 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Dough Preparation: In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit until foamy. Add remaining sugar, egg, melted butter, flour, and salt. Knead until smooth, then let rise for 1–1.5 hours.
- Cheesecake Filling: Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Assembly: Roll out the dough, spread cheesecake filling, blueberry jam, and blueberries. Roll into a log, slice into rolls, and place in a baking dish.
- Baking: Let rise, then bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes.
- Glazing: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
- You can use raspberry or strawberry jam as a variation.
- If using frozen blueberries, do not thaw before adding.
- Best served warm and can be reheated in the microwave for a few seconds the next day.
