Pie Crust:

  • 2 refrigerated pie crusts (or homemade pastry)

Filling:

  • 1/2 cup fruit jam or preserves (any flavor)

Egg Wash:

  • 1 egg, beaten

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping:

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the pastry: Roll out the pie crusts and cut into rectangles. Place half on the baking sheet.
  3. Add filling: Spoon jam onto each piece, brush edges with egg, and top with another pastry rectangle. Seal edges with a fork.
  4. Bake: Brush with egg wash and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden.
  5. Make glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Spread on cooled pop tarts.
  6. Finish: Add sprinkles if desired and let the glaze set before serving.
