Description

Indulge in a creamy and flavorful dish with this Broccoli Shrimp Alfredo recipe. Succulent shrimp, tender broccoli, and a rich Alfredo sauce come together to create a satisfying meal that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Pasta:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 8 ounces fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package directions. Add broccoli in the last 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Shrimp: In a skillet, cook shrimp in olive oil until pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo Sauce: Melt butter, sauté garlic, then add cream, Parmesan, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened.
  4. Combine and Serve: Add shrimp, pasta, and broccoli to the sauce. Toss to coat. Serve garnished with parsley.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Consider adding mushrooms or using chicken instead of shrimp.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan enhances the dish’s flavor and texture.
