Description

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk (plus 12 tablespoons more if needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cheese and herbs. Pour in buttermilk and stir until dough comes together.
  3. Shape and bake: Turn the dough onto a floured surface, pat into a rectangle, fold for layers, cut out biscuits, and place on the baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden.
  4. Serve: Serve warm with butter.
