Ingredients
Scale
Filling
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie or grilled)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup salsa or taco sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Wraps
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for pan-grilling)
Instructions
- Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, thoroughly combine the shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, sour cream, salsa, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated to ensure flavor is well distributed.
- Assemble the wraps: Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface. Divide the chicken and cheese mixture evenly among the tortillas, placing the filling slightly off-center toward one edge. Roll each tortilla tightly, folding in the sides as you go to securely encase the filling and form neat wraps.
- Pan-grill the wraps: Heat the olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down in the hot skillet to seal them. Cook each side for 2 to 3 minutes, turning carefully until the tortillas are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese inside has melted completely.
- Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet, slice each in half diagonally for easier handling, and serve warm. Accompany with extra salsa, guacamole, or sour cream for dipping if desired.
Notes
- For added flavor and texture, include chopped jalapeños, sautéed onions, or black beans in the filling mixture.
- These wraps can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator. Reheat in a skillet or air fryer until warmed through for a quick meal.
