Garlic Butter
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
Cheese & Seasonings
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Garnish & Serving
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
- Marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or pizza stone to prevent sticking.
- Roll Out the Dough: Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick and transfer it to the prepared baking surface.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter with the minced garlic, mixing thoroughly.
- Brush Garlic Butter on Dough: Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the surface of the rolled-out pizza dough, ensuring even coverage.
- Add Cheese and Seasoning: Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese across the dough, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese. Then season with dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Bake the Breadsticks: Place the prepared dough in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese melts, becomes bubbly, and develops a golden-brown color around the edges.
- Garnish and Slice: Remove from the oven and allow the breadsticks to cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves for added flavor and color. Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to slice into breadsticks.
- Serve: Serve the cheesy garlic breadsticks warm alongside marinara sauce for dipping, making a perfect appetizer or snack.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
- Use fresh mozzarella for a creamier texture if preferred.
