Ingredients
Scale
Meatloaf Mixture
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Fillings and Toppings
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (additional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Prepare Meatloaf Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Form Meatloaf Bites: Take a portion of the meat mixture and flatten it in your hand or on a surface. Place some grated cheddar cheese in the center, then carefully mold the meat around the cheese to form a ball, sealing the cheese inside. Repeat this process until all the mixture is used.
- Prepare Glaze and Brush: In a small bowl, mix ketchup and mustard together until smooth. Using a brush or spoon, evenly coat the surface of each meatloaf bite with this glaze mixture to add flavor and help caramelize the exterior.
- Bake: Arrange the meatloaf bites on the prepared baking sheet spaced slightly apart. Bake them in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the tops of the bites are caramelized and slightly browned.
- Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the bites for a burst of color and fresh flavor. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Make sure to seal the cheese completely inside the meat to prevent it from leaking out during baking.
- You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- Adjust the amount of garlic and onion according to your taste preference.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch or BBQ for extra flavor.
- These can be prepared ahead and refrigerated until baking time to save time for parties.
