  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ⅓ cups sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Prepare the cake batter: In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla. Beat until well combined. Stir in boiling water.
