Biscuits and Coating
- 1 small roll of canned biscuits
- 1/4 cup sugar (a mix of white and brown sugar)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1-2 tablespoons butter
Icing
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 teaspoons milk
- 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the biscuit bites.
- Prepare the Pan: Place 1-2 tablespoons of butter in a baking pan and put it in the oven while it preheats to allow the butter to melt thoroughly.
- Prepare Biscuits: Cut the canned biscuits into quarters. In a plastic bag, combine the 1/4 cup sugar (white and brown mix) with 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Add the biscuit quarters to the bag and shake well to coat them evenly with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Bake: Arrange the coated biscuit pieces in the melted butter inside the baking pan in a single layer. Bake them for about 15 minutes, or until the biscuit bites turn golden brown.
- Make the Icing: While the biscuit bites bake, mix together 1/4 cup powdered sugar, 1-2 teaspoons milk, and 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract in a bowl. Stir until the icing is smooth and slightly pourable.
- Finish: Once the biscuit bites are done and still warm, drizzle the vanilla glaze over them evenly.
- Serve: Enjoy the Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Bites warm or at room temperature as a sweet snack or dessert.
Notes
- Use a mix of white and brown sugar for a richer, more complex sweetness.
- Adjust the amount of milk in the icing to reach desired consistency.
- For extra flavor, you can sprinkle a pinch of nutmeg into the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- These biscuit bites are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- Ensure the butter is fully melted before adding the biscuit pieces to avoid uneven cooking.
