Description

A quick and easy creamy avocado cilantro lime dressing that adds a fresh, tangy, and smooth flavor to salads, wraps, and bowls. Made with ripe avocado, fresh cilantro, zesty lime juice, garlic, and olive oil, this dressing is both healthy and versatile.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 large avocado
  • 1 handful cilantro, about 1/2 cup
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2-4 tablespoons water, to thin to taste
  • Lime juice or lemon juice from 1 lime or lemon
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Gather all ingredients including a ripe avocado, fresh cilantro, olive oil, garlic, lime or lemon juice, water, and sea salt.
  2. Blend Ingredients: In a blender or food processor, add the avocado, cilantro, olive oil, garlic clove, lime or lemon juice, sea salt, and 2 tablespoons of water. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the dressing is too thick, add more water, one tablespoon at a time, to reach your desired consistency.
  3. Store Dressing: Transfer the prepared dressing into an airtight container and refrigerate. The dressing will keep fresh for 5 to 7 days. Stir before use as it may thicken slightly when chilled.

Notes

  • Use ripe avocados for the creamiest texture.
  • Adjust water quantity to thin the dressing to your preferred consistency.
  • The dressing can be used as a salad dressing, dip, or sauce for tacos and grilled meats.
  • For a spicier kick, add a small jalapeño or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Store in the fridge in an airtight container to maintain freshness and prevent browning.
