Description

This Crispy Hot Honey Feta Chicken recipe combines tender chicken coated in a flavorful feta-yogurt mixture and crispy panko breadcrumbs, baked to perfection and finished with a drizzle of spicy honey. A delicious and unique twist on classic baked chicken.

Chicken:

  • 1 ½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts

Feta Yogurt Mixture:

  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Panko Coating:

  • 1 ½ cups panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Other:

  • olive oil spray or drizzle
  • Hot Honey:

    • ¼ cup honey
    • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
    • pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, greasing lightly.
  2. Mix feta mixture: Combine feta, yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Prepare panko coating: Mix panko, paprika, and salt in a dish.
  4. Coat the chicken: Spread feta mixture on chicken, coat with panko.
  5. Bake: Place chicken on sheet, spray with oil, bake 25-30 minutes.
  6. Make hot honey: Heat honey, red pepper, cayenne, drizzle over chicken.

Notes

  • This recipe can be made in an air fryer at 400°F for 15–18 minutes.
  • Serve with rice, salad, or roasted veggies.
  • For extra crunch, add crushed cornflakes to the breadcrumb mix.
