Pita Bread:
- 2 large pita breads
Chicken & Cheese Toppings:
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup kalamata olives, sliced
Seasonings & Garnish:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the pita: Brush both sides of the pita breads lightly with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes until slightly crisp.
- Add toppings: Top each pita with shredded chicken, feta, mozzarella, red onion, tomatoes, and olives. Sprinkle with oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Bake: Return the pitas to the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the pita is golden and crisp.
