Ingredients
Scale
Chicken Wings
- 2 pounds chicken wings (drumettes and flats separated)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Corn
- 4 ears fresh corn (husked)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Garnish and Serving
- Chopped fresh parsley or cilantro (optional)
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to a medium-high temperature, approximately 400°F, ensuring it is ready for cooking.
- Prepare the Chicken Wings: In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using. Toss thoroughly to coat all pieces evenly. Let them marinate briefly while the grill heats up.
- Prepare the Corn: Brush each husked ear of corn with melted butter and sprinkle with salt to enhance the flavor before grilling.
- Grill the Chicken Wings: Place the wings on the grill and cook for 20–25 minutes, turning every 5–6 minutes. Grill until the wings are crispy on the outside and fully cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Add the Corn to the Grill: During the last 10–12 minutes of cooking the wings, add the corn to the grill. Turn occasionally to achieve a light char on all sides.
- Remove and Serve: Take the wings and corn off the grill. Garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro if desired. Serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra zesty finish.
Notes
- Add your favorite barbecue or hot sauce during the last few minutes of grilling for extra flavor.
- You can also use frozen corn on the cob if fresh isn’t available; just thaw it before grilling.
- Ensure wings are cooked thoroughly by checking the internal temperature for safety.
- Adjust cayenne pepper to suit your heat preference or omit for milder wings.
