Ingredients
Scale
Fries
- 1 1/2 pounds frozen or fresh-cut French fries
- Oil for frying or baking
Toppings
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños, sliced
- 2 green onions, sliced
Seasoning & Sauces
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/3 cup ranch dressing
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (such as Crystal or Frank’s)
Instructions
- Cook the fries: Prepare the French fries according to the package instructions by baking, frying, or air frying until they are crispy and golden brown. While still hot, immediately toss the fries with the Cajun seasoning to evenly coat them with flavor.
- Preheat the oven: Set the oven to 400°F (200°C) if it’s not already heated from baking the fries. This will be used to melt the cheese and warm the toppings.
- Assemble the fries: Spread the seasoned fries out in a single layer on a baking sheet or an oven-safe skillet. Evenly distribute the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses on top, followed by the crumbled cooked bacon.
- Melt the cheese: Place the baking sheet or skillet in the preheated oven for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
- Add final toppings: Remove the fries from the oven and immediately drizzle ranch dressing and hot sauce over the top. Sprinkle the sliced pickled jalapeños and green onions evenly over the fries.
- Serve hot: Serve the Louisiana Voodoo Fries immediately while hot and cheesy for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
