Description

Million Dollar Deviled Eggs are a rich and creamy twist on the classic deviled eggs, combining mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, vinegar, sugar, and a touch of butter for a silky smooth filling. Garnished with paprika and fresh herbs, this American appetizer is perfect for parties, Easter, or any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

Eggs

  • 6 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled

Filling

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
  • ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Pinch of paprika (plus more for garnish)

Garnish

  • Chopped chives or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the eggs: Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks. Place the yolks in a medium bowl and mash them until smooth.
  2. Make the filling: Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, sugar, softened butter, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika to the mashed yolks. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until creamy and smooth.
  3. Fill the egg whites: Spoon or pipe the creamy yolk mixture back into the egg white halves, making sure each half is nicely filled.
  4. Garnish: Lightly dust the filled eggs with additional paprika and sprinkle with chopped chives or parsley if desired.
  5. Chill and serve: Refrigerate the deviled eggs for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to develop fully.

Notes

  • The addition of butter adds a rich, silky texture that elevates the traditional deviled egg filling.
  • For enhanced flavor, try adding a splash of pickle juice or finely chopped dill pickles to the filling.
  • These deviled eggs can be prepared a day ahead and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
