Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
- Roll and cut puff pastry: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet gently and cut it into 12 equal squares to create uniform pastry bites.
- Add Nutella filling: Place approximately 1 teaspoon of Nutella in the center of each square, making sure not to overfill to avoid leakage.
- Seal the pastries: Fold each square diagonally into a triangle shape and press the edges firmly with a fork to seal the filling inside.
- Apply egg wash: Brush the tops of the folded pastries with the beaten egg to give them a glossy golden finish when baked.
- Bake the pastries: Arrange the pastries on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until they are puffed and golden brown.
- Cool and garnish: Allow the pastries to cool for 5 minutes; then dust with powdered sugar and sprinkle with crushed hazelnuts if desired.
- Serve: Serve the Nutella pastry bites warm or at room temperature as a delicious snack or dessert.

- You can freeze the assembled pastries before baking; bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
