- 8 ounces uncooked penne pasta
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
For Topping:
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil or parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil: In a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken: Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then add to the pan. Cook until browned and cooked through.
- Add garlic: Sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Combine ingredients: Stir in marinara sauce, chicken broth, uncooked pasta, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if using. Bring to a boil, then simmer.
