Description

This Parmesan Potatoes recipe offers a flavorful and easy way to enjoy crispy, baked potatoes coated with a zesty ranch seasoning and savory parmesan cheese. Perfect as a side dish for any meal, these potatoes are baked to golden perfection for a deliciously crunchy outside and tender inside.

Ingredients

Scale

Potatoes

  • 4 red potatoes, diced and cubed

Seasoning and Coating

  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons ranch dry seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Dash of garlic pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare Potatoes: Dice and cube your red potatoes into small, evenly sized pieces to ensure they cook evenly.
  2. Coat with Oil: Place the potato cubes in a large ziplock bag, add the olive oil, seal, and shake well to coat all the potatoes thoroughly.
  3. Add Seasonings: Add the ranch seasoning mix and parmesan cheese into the ziplock bag, then shake again until all potatoes are evenly coated with the seasoning and cheese.
  4. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with foil and spray generously with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Spread the coated potatoes evenly on the foil.
  5. Season: Sprinkle the salt and a dash of garlic pepper evenly over the potatoes for extra flavor.
  6. Bake: Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the potatoes are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Stir halfway through baking for even crispness if desired.

Notes

  • Use red potatoes for the best texture; other types may result in different textures.
  • For extra crispiness, you can broil the potatoes for the last 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  • This recipe can be doubled easily by using a larger baking sheet or two sheets.
  • Ranch seasoning mix can be substituted with a combination of dried herbs like dill, parsley, garlic powder, and onion powder if desired.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the oven to restore crispiness instead of the microwave.
