Description

A cozy and delicious Pumpkin Honey Latte recipe that blends the sweetness of honey, the warmth of pumpkin spice, and the richness of espresso with frothy milk, perfect for a comforting autumn drink.

Ingredients

Scale

Latte Base

  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon (15 g) pumpkin puree, 100% pure (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1 tablespoon (21 g) honey, raw preferred
  • 2 shots (approx. 2 ounces / 60 ml) brewed espresso
  • ½ teaspoon (1.3 g) pumpkin spice

Toppings

  • Whipped cream (optional), homemade recommended
  • Ground cinnamon, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine Pumpkin Mixture: In a large cup or mug, mix 1 tablespoon pumpkin puree, 1 tablespoon honey, ½ teaspoon pumpkin spice, and 2 shots of freshly brewed espresso. This creates the flavorful base of your pumpkin honey latte.
  2. Add Milk: Pour 1 cup of whole milk into the mug with the pumpkin and espresso mixture, allowing the flavors to meld and adding creamy richness to the drink.
  3. Froth Milk and Blend: Use a milk frother or a vigorous whisk to blend and froth the mixture until smooth and airy. If the milk doesn’t froth well, warm it to about 150°F (65°C) for 1-2 minutes on medium heat before frothing.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Top your latte with a swirl of homemade whipped cream and sprinkle ground cinnamon evenly on top. For best results, gently tap the whipped cream surface before sprinkling to prevent clumping.

Notes

  • Use fresh espresso for the best flavor.
  • Warming the milk slightly helps achieve better froth.
  • Homemade whipped cream enhances the latte’s texture and taste.
  • Adjust honey quantity to taste for sweetness preference.
  • Use pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling, to avoid added sugars and spices.
