Ingredients
Scale
Croissant and Filling
- 1 can croissants (8 pieces)
- ½ cup pumpkin puree
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp cream cheese
Maple Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil
- 1-2 Tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for baking the croissants evenly.
- Prepare Filling: In a bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, and cream cheese. Mix thoroughly until smooth and creamy to create the delicious pumpkin pie filling.
- Separate Dough: Open the can of croissant dough and carefully separate the individual triangles, preparing them for filling and rolling.
- Fill and Roll: Spoon a small amount of the pumpkin mixture onto the wide end of each croissant triangle. Carefully roll them up from the wide end to the point, enclosing the filling inside.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking and allow for easy cleanup.
- Bake Croissants: Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the croissants turn golden brown and are cooked through.
- Cool: Remove the croissants from the oven and allow them to cool slightly to set before glazing.
- Make Maple Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and coconut oil. Gradually add 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk, adjusting to your preferred glaze thickness until smooth and pourable.
- Glaze and Serve: Drizzle the maple glaze generously over each croissant. Serve warm or at room temperature and enjoy this sweet, pumpkin-spiced treat!
Notes
- You can substitute the pumpkin puree with sweet potato puree for a different flavor twist.
- If you prefer a richer glaze, add a little vanilla extract to the maple glaze mixture.
- Store leftover croissants in an airtight container and reheat lightly before serving for best taste.
- For a crispier finish, brush croissants with a little melted butter before baking.
