  • 1 egg yolk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. Mix the brownie batter: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, red food coloring, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well. Stir in flour and salt just until combined.
  3. Prepare cream cheese swirl: In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Assemble and bake: Pour the brownie batter into the pan, spread evenly. Drop spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture over the batter and swirl gently with a knife. Bake for 28–32 minutes.
  5. Cool and serve: Let the brownies cool completely in the pan. Lift out and cut into squares.
