Ingredients
Scale
Rolls
- 12 brioche dinner rolls
Honey Sage Butter
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh sage
- ½ teaspoon flaky sea salt
Optional
- Additional melted butter for brushing
- Additional flaky sea salt for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) to prepare for warming the brioche rolls.
- Make Honey Sage Butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, honey, finely chopped fresh sage, and a pinch of flaky sea salt. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Prepare Rolls: Arrange the 12 brioche dinner rolls on a baking sheet or in a baking dish evenly. If you choose, lightly brush the tops with additional melted butter to enhance browning.
- Warm Rolls: Place the baking sheet with the rolls in the preheated oven. Warm them for 8 to 10 minutes, or until they are heated through and lightly golden on top.
- Finish and Serve: Remove the rolls from the oven, then spread or dollop generous amounts of the honey sage butter over each warm roll. Sprinkle a little more flaky sea salt on top if desired. Serve the rolls immediately for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- You can prepare the honey sage butter ahead of time and refrigerate it for up to 5 days. Allow it to come to room temperature before serving to ensure it’s spreadable.
- For a more intense sage flavor, sauté the chopped sage lightly in a teaspoon of butter before mixing it into the honey butter.
