Description

This Skinny Pina Colada recipe is a refreshing and healthy twist on the classic tropical cocktail. Made with light coconut milk, fresh pineapple juice, and just a touch of sweetness, it offers a creamy, flavorful drink that’s perfect for summer or anytime you want a low-calorie, guilt-free indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

Liquids

  • 1 1/2 ounces white rum
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk (light or regular)
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice (100% juice, no sugar added)

Fruits

  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks

Sweeteners (Optional)

  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or agave

Others

  • 1/2 cup ice

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the white rum, unsweetened coconut milk, pineapple juice, frozen pineapple chunks, your choice of sweetener if using, and ice into a blender bowl.
  2. Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high speed for about 30-45 seconds or until the mixture is smooth and creamy with no large ice or fruit chunks remaining.
  3. Taste and Adjust: Sample the drink and add a bit more honey or agave if you prefer it sweeter. Blend again briefly if additional sweetener was added.
  4. Serve: Pour the pina colada into a chilled glass immediately to enjoy at its freshest and creamiest.
  5. Garnish (Optional): Add a pineapple wedge or a maraschino cherry on the rim of the glass for a festive presentation.

Notes

  • To make a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the rum for a virgin pina colada.
  • For a lighter drink, substitute coconut water in place of coconut milk.
  • If you want a thicker texture, add more frozen pineapple chunks or reduce the amount of ice used.
