Description

Chicken and Seasonings:

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

Sauce:

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup low-sodium chicken broth

Other:

  • 1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix (such as Stove Top)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Slow Cooker: Spray the inside of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Season Chicken: Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme.
  3. Make Sauce: In a medium bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and chicken broth until smooth. Spread over the chicken.
  4. Add Stuffing: Sprinkle dry stuffing mix over the chicken. Add frozen vegetables if desired.
  5. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2.5–3 hours until chicken is cooked through and stuffing is moist.
  6. Finish: Fluff stuffing with a fork before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.

  • For extra flavor, use cream of mushroom or celery soup.
  • Add shredded cheese on top during the last 30 minutes for a cheesy twist.
