Description

This Strawberry Basil Lemonade is a refreshing and vibrant drink that perfectly balances the sweetness of strawberries with the herbal notes of fresh basil and the tartness of lemon juice. A delightful summer beverage that is sure to cool you down on a hot day.

Fresh Strawberry Basil Lemonade:

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup honey or simple syrup
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Lemon slices and extra strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the strawberries, basil, lemon juice, and honey (or simple syrup). Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain Mixture: Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove seeds and pulp.
  3. Add Water: Add the cold water and stir well to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  4. Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour in the strawberry basil lemonade, and garnish with lemon slices, fresh strawberries, and basil sprigs if desired. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, replace some or all of the cold water with chilled sparkling water just before serving.
  • Adjust sweetness based on the ripeness of your strawberries.
