Ingredients
Scale
Strawberries
- 1 pound fresh strawberries (washed and hulled)
Whipped Cream Mixture
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Decorations
- Mini chocolate chips or melted chocolate (for eyes)
- Optional: black sesame seeds or decorating gel for details
Instructions
- Prepare Strawberries: Slice the stem end off each strawberry so it can stand upright, then carefully cut off the pointed top third to create the “hat” portion of Santa.
- Whip Cream: In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream together with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form, ensuring the cream holds shape.
- Pipe Whipped Cream: Transfer whipped cream to a piping bag fitted with a small round or star tip. Pipe a small dollop of whipped cream onto the base of each strawberry where the hat will be placed, then position the top strawberry piece back on to form the hat.
- Decorate Santas: Pipe a tiny dot of whipped cream on the tip of each hat and two small dots on the front of the base for buttons. Add mini chocolate chips, decorating gel, or sesame seeds to create eyes, enhancing Santa’s face.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the completed Strawberry Santas until ready to serve, keeping them fresh and firm.
Notes
- Use stabilized whipped cream or whipped topping if preparing in advance to prevent melting and maintain shape.
- Get creative by adding shredded coconut flakes for Santa’s beard.
- Try different candies or edible decorations for buttons and eyes to personalize your Santas.
