Fudge Base
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup sugar cookie mix (dry)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon almond extract (optional, for extra cookie flavor)
Toppings
- 2 tablespoons sprinkles
- Additional sprinkles for topping
Instructions
- Prepare the baking dish: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper and set it aside to ensure easy removal of the fudge once set.
- Melt the chocolate mixture: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy, being careful not to burn the chocolate.
- Incorporate dry ingredients and flavorings: Add the dry sugar cookie mix, vanilla extract, salt, and almond extract if using. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are fully combined and the mixture thickens slightly.
- Add sprinkles to the fudge: Remove the saucepan from the heat and gently fold in 2 tablespoons of sprinkles, distributing them evenly throughout the fudge mixture.
- Transfer and top: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly with a spatula. Sprinkle additional sprinkles on top, gently pressing them into the fudge to ensure they adhere.
- Chill the fudge: Refrigerate the baking dish for at least 2 hours or until the fudge is firm and set enough to cut.
- Slice and serve: Once set, carefully lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper and cut into approximately 36 small squares. Serve chilled and store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Use seasonal or themed sprinkles to match holidays or special events for added visual appeal.
- Store the fudge in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week to maintain freshness.
- For longer storage, freeze the fudge, ensuring pieces are well wrapped to prevent freezer burn.
