These Teriyaki Beef Bowls are a delicious and satisfying meal that comes together quickly on a busy weeknight. Savory ground beef cooked in a homemade teriyaki sauce, served over steamed rice and veggies, makes for a flavorful Asian-inspired dish.

			For the Teriyaki Beef:
- 1 pound ground beef
 - 1 tablespoon sesame oil
 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
 - 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
 - 1/4 cup brown sugar
 - 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
 
For Serving:
- 2 cups cooked white or brown rice
 - 1 cup steamed broccoli or stir-fry vegetables
 - 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
 - 2 green onions, sliced
 
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil: In a large skillet over medium heat.
 - Cook ground beef: Until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
 - Add garlic and ginger: Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
 - Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes: Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
 - Add cornstarch slurry: Cook until the sauce thickens and coats the beef.
 - To serve: Spoon rice into bowls, top with teriyaki beef and steamed vegetables. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
 
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based crumbles for a lighter or vegetarian version.
 - Add shredded carrots or edamame for more color and crunch.
